Behind the Scenes: The Stell x Soul Sunday Rose Geranium Natural Fragrance

If you haven't heard yet, we just announced our very first product collaboration with Soul Sunday! The development and product design for the natural fragrance came pretty naturally. Rose is one of our favorites, and was an easy choice as the main note. The minimal black, white, and gold color palette is an enduring uniform for us.

For the photoshoot, we turned to our friends at Brooklyn-based Mill Media. We had a great time at the studio playing with different textures and dozens of roses.

The Rose Geranium Natural Fragrance is feminine and classic, for the quintessential Stell woman. The blend of rose, geranium, and neroli therapeutic oils come in an elegant rollerball.

Newport Mansions
Newport, Rhode Island, United States

Just because it's winter doesn't mean you have to stay in with Netflix all season. The off season is the perfect time to find some tranquility and explore, without summer crowds. We took a weekend trip to Newport, RI, and it was a much-needed escape from the city.

Of course, don't expect to find things in full swing. Three of Newport's storied mansions are open in the winter, and we made it to two: the Breakers and the Marble House. Both were summer "cottages" once owned by members of the Vanderbilt family, and reflect the splendor of the Gilded Age.

Newport itself offers beautiful ocean views, lush lawns and sprawling mansions everywhere you turn. The food didn't disappoint, either. We stopped at a cute eatery called Winner Winner and indulged in fried chicken sandwiches and mac & cheese. Just don't forget to bundle up!

2. The Marble House, 596 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI 02840 (Home of Alva and William Kissam Vanderbilt from 1888-1892)

Review: Indie Lee Swiss Apple Facial Serum

Somewhere in Switzerland, a rare apple called Uttwiler Spätlauber grows. Scientists observed that these particular apples stayed alive long after they had fallen off their trees and lasted longer than any other apple variety.

Best of all, the brilliant Indie Lee produced a serum made with the stem cells of this rare Swiss apple. Sounds like something out of a fairy tale, right? But it's true.

The Indie Lee Swiss Apple Facial Serum is a luxurious oil that applies smoothly and absorbs right into the skin. The eye dropper applicator ensures that you can effectively ration out every bit of the precious oil, while keeping it free of any bacteria.

The serum improves overall skin quality by reducing redness and inflammation, as well as minimizing the appearance of pores and wrinkles. The combination of phytonutrients, proteins and metabolites boost cell production, giving you that plumped up, youthful appearance.

We followed Indie's directions and applied a few drops right after cleansing and toning. There was visible improvement after just one use, showing diminished pore size, blurring of fine lines, and fading of age spots. It’s also light enough to use under makeup, providing a smoother, more hydrated base.
