Summer Fun: What to Pack

Beauty is like fashion and it definitely has seasons. We've rounded up some of our favorite city to beach products. Since we dream of summer in pretty pastel colors, it doesn't hurt that these hues are totally Instagram worthy.

For tousled beach waves, spritz Herbivore's Sea Mist all over hair, scrunch and go. The coconut and sea salt will make your hair smell like a deserted island in the Pacific ocean.

Paint your nails the perfect shade of sun bleached pink. Context's "Ain't Love Strange" is our go-to for fingers and toes this summer. Bonus: it's neutral enough to take you right into the cooler months.

We love a good fragrance and our friends at Soul Sunday created the perfect mix of pear and geranium leaf in Lush. You'll want to pack this light-weight scent with you during all of your summer travels.

We haven't met a face mist we didn't like and Linné Refresh is one we love. If the certified organic and wild harvested ingredients aren't enough appeal, then the balancing, inflammation reducing, pore minimizing aloe vera, yarrow, and hyaluronic acid should be. When you've had a long day in the sun, spritz this mist all over your face and neck to restore your skin.

Your skin takes a beating from being out all day, that's we love the feeling of Herbivore After Sun's soothing aloe combined with cooling mint and therapeutic lavender on our warm bodies. Spray generously and enjoy the benefits! Pro Tip: keep refrigerated for extra-refreshing effect.

Behind the Scenes: The Stell x Soul Sunday Rose Geranium Natural Fragrance

If you haven't heard yet, we just announced our very first product collaboration with Soul Sunday! The development and product design for the natural fragrance came pretty naturally. Rose is one of our favorites, and was an easy choice as the main note. The minimal black, white, and gold color palette is an enduring uniform for us.

For the photoshoot, we turned to our friends at Brooklyn-based Mill Media. We had a great time at the studio playing with different textures and dozens of roses.

The Rose Geranium Natural Fragrance is feminine and classic, for the quintessential Stell woman. The blend of rose, geranium, and neroli therapeutic oils come in an elegant rollerball.

Newport Mansions
Newport, Rhode Island, United States

Just because it's winter doesn't mean you have to stay in with Netflix all season. The off season is the perfect time to find some tranquility and explore, without summer crowds. We took a weekend trip to Newport, RI, and it was a much-needed escape from the city.

Of course, don't expect to find things in full swing. Three of Newport's storied mansions are open in the winter, and we made it to two: the Breakers and the Marble House. Both were summer "cottages" once owned by members of the Vanderbilt family, and reflect the splendor of the Gilded Age.

Newport itself offers beautiful ocean views, lush lawns and sprawling mansions everywhere you turn. The food didn't disappoint, either. We stopped at a cute eatery called Winner Winner and indulged in fried chicken sandwiches and mac & cheese. Just don't forget to bundle up!
